Final Image for Project One

Conceptually I was hoping to alter the viewer's perception of what was reflected surface and what was solid. Sometimes the world is not as it seems. Though simple I hoped the sense of orientation could be slightly shifted by the use of non-local color. Just not sure which direction?

  1. I definitely prefer the bottom image...its easier to read as a tree and a reflection. I like the color choices. I wonder what they would look like reversed with watery hughes in the real world and warm colors reflected in the water. Overall I love the image and great composition. It looks otherworldly...like "Alice through the looking glass"!

  2. I love that you juxtaposing the image and the effect in the reflection within the image is doubled with second image. The use of non local colors is more subtle yet very effective...makes me think of impressionistic paintings!
